Aloha and Welcome,
I am the clinical director and founder of Leap of Faith Counseling, LLC where we provide quality therapeutic services to the people of Hawaii.
My passion is serving trauma survivors, high-risk teens, people with relationship issues, and christians looking to align their faith with therapy. I utilize an experiential approach that pushes clients to discover their strengths, dig deep and experience change right away. I also practice EMDR to help clients alleviate the detrimental effects of trauma.
I found my calling as a therapist after ending an intense relationship. That experience created a deep sense of empathy towards those who have ever been hurt and in a vulnerable place.
I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University in 2012. Since 2016, I have been serving as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Kamehameha Schools, where I work with students and their families to deal with issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, abuse, grief, interpersonal and family crises. In 2017, I launched my practice.
In addition to my work at Kamehameha Schools and private practice. I am an adjunct faculty at Chaminade University Master of Science in Counseling Psychology program.
I was raised in Wailua, Kauaʻi and now reside in central ʻOahu with my wife Rebecca, son Azariah, and daughter Liana.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, surfing, spearfishing, and jiu-jitsu.
I thank the Lord Jesus for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my calling. All glory goes to Him alone.
